Owing to a recent problem, I wish to cancel my membership and remove all my work from the site. How do I do this?

No. You can edit the homepage to remove your info from it but the page itself will always remain on the site.

Im just courious, if you leave an deleate everything, an clear your home page.. But it never gets deleated,,Why is that. Seams to me we have an way over inflated membership.

One reason is that deleting an account completely would allow someone else to then register the account. This would potentially cause problems of attribution. Another reason is that the "account" is really just a single line in a database that isn't very important at all, particularly if you've removed all the sensitive information.
