Just to let you all know I have had my first operation on my lower spine, went well so they say, just got to spend 2-3 months on the floor now, and then have the other 2 discs done in 3 months.
The surgeon frightened the crap out of me when the Ambulance took me in, he came to see me just before the op and said 'any changes since I last saw you ? ' I said, 'yes, its all gone real bad' so he had me MRI scanned again so he could see what went wrong, the Sciatic nerve was totally crushed in 2 places, and 1-2 more days of that and I would have lost the use of my legs, full stop, the 2 hours surgery took 5 hours, he was going to do all four disc's but thought 7-8 hours under the anesthesia would have made it a bit to much, so 4-5 are done, just 2-3 to go, so in six months I should be all fixed and ready to run the London marathon....lol.
I'm still in a lot of pain though, but just in the back, mind you, digging around in there for 4-5 hours I suppose I would be eh . . . . .
So please be paitient with me getting to write on your posts, because laying on the floor trying to type is a right bugger....
Well that's it for now, I will be looking at all your wonderful work, and I will try to post a comment at times, miss you all, take care.

Hello Mark...Hope everything is ok and that you are following the doctor's orders....When I was in the RN I had to attend the medical centre with a back pains...The medical officer ran a series of tests....Then he gave me some pills, told me to stay in bed for a week and sent me home. He also told me to sit down whenever I have to pee. Can you imagine that? A grown man having to sit to pee?...I asked why I had to sit down to have a pee....he said, with my bad back, he did'nt want me lifting anything heavy....Jokes aside,I do hope you will be up and running in the very near future....Take care Mark.......................................................Mick.
