Does anyone know how to make your icons blend in with your background?

Was this really enough of an emergency to warrant three exclamation marks?

haha, yeah.. I clicked here and I'm sadly dissappointed because it's not that much of an emergency..... (and by the way, no, I don't know how)..

If I understand your question correctly, you're asking that your icon title box not have a solid background color over your wallpaper. I was able to get around that in XP by using the classic configuration and a neutral gray background setting.

If this isn't your problem, at least you know now how to make icon title boxes disappear.

But the icons don't have backgrounds in XP... at least mine don't, and neither do the titles, I don't think they ever have. And I am using XP style , not classic.

You can turn that off in XP, so that the back color (if you know what I mean, like if you didn't have a wallpaper, the color the desktop would be) is showing through on the icons.

yeah... I'm thoroughly confused now.... (do you mean the Icon's text at the bottom? the background color to that?)

This is confusing... but I'll hazard a guess.

In XP the Icons are "transparent" (at least the bit where the Icon Name goes), so if you have a background the background will show below the text.

In Win98 (as far as I can remember) the Icons had a certain preset color to the back of the text bit, so the color would show above the background.

All I was asking was... how could anyone who uses this site NOT have wallpaper??? That is sacrilegious!

Yeah it is, but XP makes it so it isn't like that, and you can turn that off so you can read the icon name better.
