Copied below is part of a post I made in a discussion and it was suggested I post it here. I can speak only for my own results.Over a period of two weeks the numbers of votes on my images were 27, 50, 21, 11, 11, 20, 25, 15, 15.
A 49 vote difference between the highest and lowest. At the very least I vote the expected minimum of 10 per image uploaded and usually more depending on time available. I have an image from 4 days ago still on 7 votes while one I posted earlier today already has a c-index.
"I wonder if more balanced results would be given if each image got the same number of votes, rather then being 'retired' from the VB after a specified time. I do not believe any image needs 50 votes but 10 seems a bit sparce even though that is the number required for a C-index number to generate. Those that accumulate more than the bare 10 usually fluctuate quite significantly - either down or up."
