Since I use a numeric cam, I stored my virgin films in a refrigerator. Some of them are out of date (± 6 months). Can I use them when I'll leave in summer? Thanks for your advices :-)
I assume, Pierre, you're speaking of raw negative film??? Otherwise, storing virgins in a fridge until you get back is, well... not a bad idea, actually.
Pierre, Mon Ami;
Your film should be good. If it has been refrigerateed,as you claim.The only thing that happens to film over a long time is an increase in the B+F ( base plus fog) level. That is a very slow process. It means that if the film is way outdated, some of the shadow detail may be lost. Unless you are a zone system shooter you would never notice the difference, I might suggest that if you are in doubt, shoot a roll and have it developed.

Pierre;
Some old Photographers like my age group (50 to 70) , were brought up to believe that the American Photographer, Ansel Adams, was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Although the was extremely good he also had a great Public relations team behind him. He wrote many books on the zone system. That is a method of placing the darkest portion and the lightest portion of a scene on special parts , or zones, of the film's latitude to assure that all tones were reproduced. Basically, in the old days, we used to say "expose for the shadows and develop for the highlights". Enjoy your day!!
