Ok, I know there's a page for suggested photo creation/editing software here, but maybe another page or just a continuation of this page is in order (and forgive me if there already is and I completely missed it ;) ). I have found that the programs Neat Image and AutoStitch are extremely helpful in my desktop creation. Neat Image makes images much sharper and removes any image noise from a digital input source. AutoStitch takes multiple images and blends them into one panoramic. AutoStitch alone saves possibly HOURS of work. I think these programs deserve as much recognition as Photoshop or Bryce.
Anyone know any other programs that might be helpful? I discovered these two by accident reading others' posts. Thanks.
It was a pleasant surprise to me also that I was able to edit that page;-) The only thing that is needed would be a tutorial style example showing the before and after results.
Google released a software program, Picasa (Version 2), that is quite nice. From the site... Find and enjoy the pictures on your computer in seconds.
A free software download from Google.
Picasa is software that helps you instantly find, edit and share all the pictures on your PC. Every time you open Picasa, it automatically locates all your pictures (even ones you forgot you had) and sorts them into visual albums organized by date with folder names you will recognize. You can drag and drop to arrange your albums and make labels to create new groups. Picasa makes sure your pictures are always organized.
Picasa also makes advanced editing simple by putting one-click fixes and powerful effects at your fingertips. And Picasa makes it a snap to share your pictures – you can email, print photos home, make gift CDs, instantly share via Hello™, and even post pictures on your own blog.
