I was wondering what computer programs people recommend to create computer generated wallpapers and how to get started posting them...suggestions anyone? I am such a newbie to all this, but the wonderful people and work here is very inspiring. Thanks.

before caedes comes bursting in here...lol; consult the FAQ and it's software part. But the answer you're looking for depends on what type of art you want to create, personally i like terragen for landscaping 'cuz it's free. and adobe paintshop can be used to make very convincing computer art/fractals.

He he, thanks. It completely slipped my mind to check the faq. I checked the most frequently used proggies, and noticed that Vue d'espirit wasn't on there. Is that also a good one to use?

I've only commented on the programs that I'm familiar with using. I've heard of Vue, but I've never actually seen it, therefore I must do the responsible thing and restrain myself from offering an opinion. =)
