If the automobile had followed the same development as the computer, a Rolls-Royce would today cost $100, get a million miles per gallon, and explode once a year killing everyone inside.

Well....I tend to think that everything happens for a good reason - even if it doesnt seem like it at the time. I've gone through some bad stuff in my life...but, I learned from every single bit of it - so, I dont regret much. However, I'd tell myself to do some major damage to my ex-husband. ; )
"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts." Bertrand Russell

I'd probably tell myself to invest in Microsoft or similar, and what numbers to choose in the lottery. But seriously, I have thought about this, and I don't think I would change anything in my early life; even though I made some mistakes, if I changed anything I might not be where I am today, which I think is a very good place...
if i could go back i would tell my self to participate more in activities, work harder on my schoolwork, take advantage of good situations, and not to be so cinnical about everything. If i wouldve been like that when i was younger i would be thanking myself right now.
Go straight to college from high school and dont stop until you have your PhD. Love the people in your life before you lose them. I would not have been upset when I got stock instead of toys for my birthday gift. It was more than " stupid paper". I would have said watch out for men value whats in another location more than what is between your ears.
No matter how hard you are working, take time to savour the moment. If you travel - write down what you saw and how it made you feel. Be kinder to yourself and be kind to those around you, regardless of whether they deserve it. Seek out something to laugh or at least smile about everyday. Don't be afraid to stand up for what is right. Chances are most other people are thinking the same thing. When you are worried, sad or upset, especially about something someone else has said or done to you, ask yourself whether it will matter when you are eighty. You never regret what you attempt, only what you never tried to do. Most of all, "That which does not kill me, makes me stronger."
{Friedrich Nietzsche, The Twilight of the Idols (1899)
German philosopher (1844 - 1900)}
Never give up. Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it. ~~ Michael Jordan
I like my life. I didn't always have it good or easy, but it made me who I am now. So to change my life...I wouldn't. So advice to my younger self...hmmm...
I would go back 3 years and tell myself to pay closer attention to the signs my best friend was giving...perhaps had I known then, what I do now, I could have saved her life and kept her from commiting suicide. The things I have learned about suicides in the 2 years since her death, would've been a godsend for me 3 years ago. Saving my best friend would be the only thing that if I could ever go back in time, I would do. I would keep everything else in my life as it is, because each choice I made, each hardship I endured made me who I am, and set the stage for me to have a great husband and amazing kids.
