Who has the following and is willing to share......

Come on we all @ some point in our live's had somebody tell us an urban legend or scary story that was meant to scare and shock us beyond being able to step out of the door @ night. Autumn and dark nights rolling in and the nights in sepia tones around street lights. A bit of mist etc who is brave enough to start us off?

I remember having a huge Halloween party, and my Granddad came in to tell me and my friends a true story that left us terrified...

One night in August, a man named Joseph woke up in a cold sweat after having a frightful nightmare, to go into his un-suite bathroom and get a drink of water. As he drank it out of the cup, he gazed out of the window to look at the lawn he had mowed so perfectly earlier on that day.

As he was about to turn around to go to bed, he saw a strange shape creeping towards his house. He poked his head out of the window to see what it was, and saw a man carrying a coffin on his back. He shouted at him, asking what the hell he was doing. As the man with the coffin lifted up his head, Joseph fell back in shock. The strange man looked like, and was even wearing the same clothes as Joseph. He ran to his bed and fell asleep in an instance, only hoping he was in a dream.

When he woke up again in broad daylight, he ran to the window to see if the vision he had last night was true. Luckily, the man had gone. So, as Joseph saw it, it was a dream. But then at a second glance, he saw one of his slippers just behind his shed. He sharply turned his head around to where his slippers he wore last night were meant to be, but they were both there.

Totally confused, he got dressed as quickly as the speed of light, sprinted into his car and shot down to the shopping centre. He walked very briskly past the shops, not bothering to go in. He was still trying to figure out what was going on. Even though he was looking at the floor, he saw someone walking in the opposite direction to him -- wearing the same suit as him, with the same face.

This time, Joseph didn't look away from the man, but neither did he. Then, just as Joseph was about to turn into a shop, the man collapsed into a very disfiguring shape. He yelled in shock, but what he thought was strangest, was that no-one else seemed to take notice of this worrying man. It looked as if they couldn't see him.

In a deep matter of shock, Joseph ran to the nearest elevator, not taking any notice of the bellboy. "what floor sir?" asked the bellboy. Just then, Joseph saw the bellboy. His face was too familiar to even think about. Sure enough it was Joseph when he was 10 years old. Out of the elevator, and up the stairs, this was the fastest Joseph had ever ran.

Finally, he got home safely, slouched himself on his sofa, and turned on the TV. There, on Channel 6 news, was the lift that Joseph was in only a few seconds ago. But crushed. The lift had failed... and fallen... 80 feet down... killing all of the passengers. Joseph watched in heartache, the FBI remove all of the bodies. But no bellboy was every in the lift.

I was at the edge of my seat, there better be a sequel!

I have one also:

Once when I went to North Carolina to visit my grandparents and my aunt(godmother), we all went to the mall, forgot why but my aunt told me to keep an eye on Nicky (her son, my cousin), as they all left me alone, I picked him up and decided to find my brother.

As we were walking, Nicky said he wanted to walk so I put him down and held his hand so that I don't lose him. We found my brother and we went into some store. We were walking around the store and my aunt came in and asked me where was Nicky.

I lost him!

But then later, I found him sitting on a bench outside the store while we were looking in the store, I got in so much trouble that day.

A young girl was left alone at home for the first time with only her dog to protect her, she heard a bulletin on the radio about a Dangerous Lunatic that had escaped from a nearby asylum, she immediately locked all the doors and went to bed. A dripping sound from the bathroom made it difficult to fall asleep, she reached down under her bed to make sure her faithful dog was by her side, he replied by licking her hand enthusiastically. The next morning when she woke up and went to the bathroom room, she found her dog hanging from the shower nozzle, blood dripping from his torn throat, on the mirror written in blood were the words: "People can lick, too!"

A young girl was babysitting some children in a large old house, the children were in bed and she was watching TV when the phone rang. All the voice on the other end did was laugh, she listened for a minute then hung up. A few minutes later it happened again, she was very upset and called the police who told her there was really nothing they could do, but they'd trace the call if it happened again. After she got another call from the laughing voice, she hung up and the police immediately called her and told her to get out of the house immediately, the calls were coming from the upstairs extension, where he'd already murdered the children.

My father was a policeman and initially we lived in a state-owned home. Some strange things happened in that house. The portraits in the hallway would get skewed without any apparant reason and you would hear footsteps in the night.

There was one of the old lights in the bathroom. With a cover that screws onto it. We were all sitting watching TV when we heard a crash. On inspection, we found that the light covering had fallen into the toilet. The strange thing was, that the toilet is about a meter to the side of the light, so it fell diagonally instead of straight down!

My sisters also told me about waking up at night, finding it hard to breathe with someone sitting on their chests. I never experience this or believed them. We eventually moved out of the house.

Ten years later my sister got talking with the current occupants of the house. They told her about pillows being moved, a rocking chair moving by itself, and low and behold the same experience of someone sitting on them and trying to suffocate them. All this without my sister even asking about strange events.

I'm certainly glad we don't live there anymore!

Thats pretty creapy. I work in an office untill late. When Im the last one in I can hear footsteps on our level and fingers being slid along glass gently. Now being mildly over confident Im ok but sometimes it gets the better of me.

My Mum said to me about 5 years or so after my Grandad died that he came to see her and let her know everything was ok.

There was an incident in Northern Ireland a few years ago when a bloke who went to Belfast for his Stag night and something truly terrible happened.

The gent and his group of mates had a meal and readied themselves for a night out, so off they went. Whilst on this Stag night they met a Hen night and all of a sudden the drinks were flowing thick and fast. Everybody from all accounts was getting very drunk. They all wandered off together towards a club where the party continued. The Stag by this time was absolutley hammered (drunk) so was left to be sick in the toilett in the club.

After 30 mins his mates could not find him anywhere @ all. They tried his mobile, the hotel etc alas to no avail. So carried on with their night regardless.

In the morning the Stag awoke, dazed, dizzy & very confused to find himslef in a bath full of melting ice and water with bottles of Gin around on the floor. He picks himself up a little bit to get more of a bearing of his situation thinking his mates have got him good and proper. He reaches over the side of the bath and rumages in his jeans for his mobile phone. It is @ this point he see's that the water in the bath is a light red colour the room is not as bright as it could be so he was unaware straight away.

The Stag starts to think something is not right so slowly but surely starts to check things methodically. Feet, legs, prick and bollocks yep ok, stomach chest arms head etc. Slowly he starts to put his hand down his sides and they feel tender. As they reach the bottom he reaches towards his spine only to find 2 holes the size of jacket potatoes in his lower back either side of his spine.

He almost passes out. But he does not, he musters up all the strenght the use his mobile phone to ring 999 and ask for the emergency services.

The Stags kidney theft was the 3rd reported case in 2 months.

Moral of this story bear in mind that other people in other countries may not give a s##t!

It gets worse when the nights role in my good friend. Might give it a go. "Dean Koontz", Andy his writing is good and head and shoulders more imaginary visually.

A young woman was driving alone one night near the local Insane Asylum when she heard on the radio that a dangerous Lunatic had escaped. Within minutes she heard a pop and felt one of her tires go flat. She built up her nerve and got out and began to change the tire. Just as she slid the spare on she noticed a man in a plain white uniform staring at her from the bushes. Startled, she dropped the lugnuts and heard them scatter on the ground, as she vainly searched in the darkness for the scattered lug-nuts she heard the man slowly approaching. Terrified, she asked herself in a trembling voice, "What am I going to do now?" and the Lunatic replied "Why don't you take one nut from each of the other wheels and put them on the spare?" She did, and was soon on her way.

During the war a soldier faithfully wrote his mother every week so she would know he was all right, until one week she didn't get a letter and immediately began to worry. Within a couple of weeks she got a letter from the Army saying that her son had been captured and was being held in a Prisoner-of-War camp, and they assured her that they had no reason to believe the American prisoners were being mistreated in any way. A few weeks later the woman finally received another letter from her son, it read: "Dear Mom, Try not to worry about me, they are treating us well and I'll be released as soon as the war is over. Make sure that little Teddy gets the stamp for his collection. Love you, Joe"
The woman was overjoyed to hear the news, but was confused because she had no idea who "little Teddy" was. She decided to steam the stamp from the envelope and have a look. When she did she saw that written on the back of the stamp were the words: "They've cut off my legs".

We have ghosts in our house. I have seen them. One is my husbands mother who I had never seen before as she is deceased and I described this woman standing in the entry to our bedroom and what she was wearing and he said it fit his mother to a T. His daughter as an infant used to talk to his mom and dad, who were both deceased and when he showed her a picture of his parents whom she had never met she said grandma and grandpa. Those were the people that she had been talking to. My husband has also seen people in this house. I do not fear them as there is no reason to, they dont threaten us, they dont talk to us, I just wish they would pay rent for taking up some space here.

A young couple were parked under a tree on a dirt road one night. When the time came to go home, the car wouldn't start so the boy told the girl to lock the doors and he'd go for help. As time went by, the girl's nervousness about her situation grew worse, and by the time she started to hear a scraping noise on the top of the car she was terrified.
The police found her the next day, as they took her away from the car they told her not to look back, but she did. Her boyfriend was hanging from a tree limb, his feet scraping the roof of the car.

Ok, I've got one. When President Lincoln was assasinated during the Civil War the man who killed him was John Wikes Booth. After he shot the president he jumped off the balcony and broke his leg. Limping/running to his companions they hopped into a wagon and sped away. Pretty soon they reached the home of Dr. Mudd in Southern Maryland and woke him up at 4:00am on April 15, 1865. They gave him false names and asked if he could treat their friends leg. He said yes and let them in. After treating the leg the doctor sent them off. About a week later Dr. Mudd was arrested for being part of a conspiracy to kill the president. He was tried and found guilty then sent to Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas about 70 miles away from Key West. Five years later he was pardoned and sent back to his farm in Maryland and lived the rest of his days in peace. To this day his house still stands.... though his ghost still dwels in the house answering the door at 4:00am on April 15. The scary thing is, Dr. Mudd is my uncle.

In my home town there is the point ferman light house.
Well according to the story there was a young light house keeper’s daughter who fell in love with a fisherman. They were married and shortly after that he went out to sea, but did not return. After many years of walking around the cat walk of the light house watching for his retuen, she through her self to her death on the cliffs below, do to her broken heart.

Now here is the interesting part, she has been seen to this day walking the cat walk of the light house.

I have heard of people mocking the story as they drive by the light house on PV drive south and end up having strange things like lights blinking and the horn of there car honking for no reason and cars staling in front of the light house.
You have to have pity that poor soul who out of love that dammed them self to an eternity of walking a cat walk in search of a lover that will never return.

This actual case of the girl killing her self is true. As far as the haunting I have never seen it but have a few friends who to this day say that they have seen the girl walking just after sunset on the grounds of the light house in a Victorian dress with black hair, which is now a city park in San Pedro, Calif. And have heard of sightings of her walking the catwalk of the light house. My sister claimed that her diseased husband mocked the story and on several times has had car trouble in front of the light house.

Who knows? If the story is true I hope one day she finds rest.

Scary story? ... watch White Noise (Michael Keaton).. thats spooky...

Seriously.. i have a little boy who visits me on and off..have no idea who he is.. and there is something that wanders through the house, you can hear movements even though everyone is in bed.. sometimes the dog will stand at my bedroom door and bark like crazy.. or like today he just stood in front of the chair and growled... When I lived at my parents we used to have an old swivel chair that squeeked when you swivelled it... some nights it would just turn on its own, we also had a lady dressed in an old gown who used to float through the house on the 12th April each year... did a bit of research on her and found that she was a missionary in an old community around my parents.. she died on the site where the house is on the 12th April... so I have been haunted a few times... some days I can be on here and you can feel someone behind me... but I know who that is... he's harmless.. =)
