Hello guys.

I know im postin alot but Iv also been planning on purchasing another lens as well as a photo editing program. I wouldnt mind if someone could help me choose a lens for my Camera. Currently I own a 28-90mm but im trying to find something that could give me clearer images for close ups.The model of camera that I currently own is the Rebel EOS K2. For this though I have a price range unlike the Photo editing program. Im lookin in a price range from $50 to not much more than $300. Plz post any suggestions on purchasing a lens or a lens that you would recomend.

Thanks
Riley

If you’re not going to by a canon lens look into Tamron or Tokina. Try to go with there high to mid range designs they use high speed servos drives and produce a really good glass. Don't go with Sigma the quality is to inconsistent.

Art is the perception of the creator. Meaning is the perception of the viewer. acceptance is the perception of society.

What you may consider for now is to buy a set of close-up filters for your current lens. I only own one actual macro lens, but I use close-up filters with all my lenses. A set of three (usually +1 +2 and +4 filters) will run you about 30 dollars.

A set of Extension Tubes may give you some great macro opportunities without adding any glass. $159

A set of three close up lenses will get you going within budget. I use them with some success. A more pricey but better solution would be either the canon 100mm macro or the Tamron 90mm macro. Both are fast at F2.8 sharp and versatile. I expect you could get one of them within the higher end of you budget. Add a 2x converter and you would cover the macro to moderate telephoto and portrait areas very nicely.

There are three colours, Ten digits and seven notes, its what we do with them that’s important. Ruth Ross
