And what did you expect?....the prefect child....raised by tv sets.....abandoned every mile...never get respect....never a fair trial....no one gives a shit...as long as we smile
This is why I am seriously considering getting rid of the karma or at least changing it. It is good to be able to tell if a user has experience on the site, but I don't like the way it encourages people to make retarded, short comments just to increase karma. A way to change it would be to have it increment each day that a user logs into the site.
well you see caedes i was merly trying to get more people into this site, thus boosting it's populariy and possibly finding you a more reliable host with more options and all that technical stuff.....you see....im young....i like to have fun....

That's another good idea, Sam. Maybe that change would encourage the members to do more of the meaningful things and not just the "ain't this fun" things.
The logging onto the site is all good and well, but for us dail-up users that would be a bit of disadvantage. I agree though that the karma should be influenced by voting for pictures etc.
At times life is wicked and I just can't see the light, a silver lining sometimes isn't enough to make some wrongs seem right, whatever life brings, I've been through everything, and now I'm on my knees again but I know I must go on, although I hurt I must be strong, because inside I know that many feel this way... ~Creed~

I agree that karma as it stands at the moment means nothing at all. It should definitely be replaced with something linked to voting and also, I think to user activity and 'services rendered'. Quite how to do it is something else though....
We could retain karma, but simply rename it 'number of posts' on the User Information.
