Dear Caedes controller,

I'm sorry, but, I'm not getting sumpin'. I posted an image Paper Flowers a while back. Back when puppies where the oldest animal, sorry, that doesn't matter. Anywho it was a little while back. It shows a c-index of 9. It's had 131 views and 109 DL's, yet it's a 9 on the c-index. I know, I know...the ratio doesn't apply to the c-index, but, if that many people have viewed it as well as downloaded it...it just seems like the c-index would be a smidge better.

I know it's sure not a work of art of nuttin', just a simple pic with a PS filter on it. Heck, I don't even know how to 'layer' yet in PS. Need money to buy "PS for Dummies"...please PM me if you'd like to donate to the cause. :)

Anywhy, it just seems strange people view it, DL it and then vote poorly on it. That's just me and my 'lil brain a workin'.

I think it got a lot of downloads mainly because it is one of the few images where the thumbnails are much better than the fullsize version. When you see it small, the colors catch your eye, but the full size shows how blurry it really is. This ruins it as a desktop for me since it would give me eye strain

As a gross generalization I'd say blur=bad, crisp=good.

you can ask people questions about how to layer in PS .. like .. *caedes, here .. he gave you bucket loads of valuable advice with that blur vs crisp gem .. maybe there's more where that came from

watch out for the .. "crisp = good, blur = bad" rule .. he's not givin' ya nothing he hasn't already when he does that

usually, though, he'll start in with that linux-speak till your eyes roll back in your skull

Truth be known, I can't read. Well OK, a little, just not great. Well, I'm off to the library! I assume the PS for Dummies is illustrated, that'll help. Maybe books on tape, yeah that's the ticket, books on tape.
