Today in history I was commisioned to do a project, nay, an art assignment. That's not my complete problem though. As my group presented their poster I was supposed to read off the names of historical figures. I came to Adolf Hitler and made the comment, "Fun guy." Immediately I was met with gasps and looks as if I were a Nazi Facist. I thought t was obvious I was being sarcastic but apparently not.
If I could count the number of times I have been in trouble with the history teacher...
This'll probably be another time.

If you have a frustrating event that has happened to you please put it here. It doesn't have to be school specific.

The day before yesterday, my History teacher (it seems like History teachers give me the most problems) was talking to the class about something that did not relate at all to what we were studying so I chose to not listen and did homework from another class. She knew what I was doing so she asked me "Therese, why don't you name one?" I had no clue what she was talking about and said "I dunno" so she's like "Why is it that you can write down answers on a piece of paper and you can't say them out loud? Come on, I know you know the answer. (she waited for two whole minutes while we stared at each other) then she said "There isn't going to be any more shyness in my classroom. I'm teaching a speech class next semester and I expect you to be in it." Then she said to stay after class so we could talk about it- so I did and we got in this huge arguement and I was more than five minutes late for my next hour (which results in an absence for the day) I was so mad.

At times life is wicked and I just can't see the light, a silver lining sometimes isn't enough to make some wrongs seem right, whatever life brings, I've been through everything, and now I'm on my knees again but I know I must go on, although I hurt I must be strong, because inside I know that many feel this way... ~Creed~

I'm trying to think of one of the times I have been teribily frustrated, there's so many that I have to start small so here goes...

It really bothers me when people refer to the smell of candles or lotion or air fresheners as flavors...you don't eat them so they are SCENTS!!

I used to work in a grocery store...oh boy, where do I begin?! People who were on their cell phones while they were checking out really pi$$ed me off. I don't mind it when people use their cell phones in public--because I do that myself--but when you are wasting the cashier's time (because they get judged by how much they sell per minute, so the time spent waiting for the customer hurts them!) and the rest of the customers who are in line's time...then it's just FRUSTRATING!!

Oh, here's one of my favorites...I would ask "Is plastic ok?" and they would respond..."No, do you have any bags?" If I ever meet the idiot who started calling paper bags just bags, i'll ring their necks! :P

There was always this one guy who would come into the store and when you asked him "Paper or plastic?" he would just say "yes!" It's just annoying...

GRR!! I'm making myself frustrated just thinking of these...

There was one lady that was in front of us in the car when we were driving. She was driving a mini van. (We of course, wanted to exceed the speed limit a bit) She would speed up to about 65...then down to 45 or so...then back up...my boyfriend and I finally got so fed up with her that at the first available moment he could, he flew past her in the passing lane...and we were met with her giving us the finger...how nice, and mature, since she was like in her 50's or so...

Ok...I'll calm down and let you guys post some more while I think of more things that drive me nuts! :D

How do you mean? Don't sweat the small stuff...I know. I try to follow that--but it doesn't often work! :)

Once I had the worst experience as a teller. It probably is anywhere as bad as what Jessiac could tell us but here it goes anyway. There were several people my line and I was trying to work as fast as I could because my shift was going to be up is about 25 minutes. The first person was probably the nastiest person I'll ever meet. He insisted telling anti Semitic and anti Arian jokes. I'll bet you can guess my race. While I was getting extremely upset the guy he goes and does a farmers blow and gets a fairly long piece of snot on my uniform. So you know we can get docked pay for having a dirty uniform. I wanted to reach out and strangle the guy but I decided against it. The whole ordeal lasted about 10 minutes, and then he said, "No wait I wanted plastic."
The next person in my line was a motivational speaker with three children and a husband she completely hated. I'll leave it to your imagination how I found that out.
The third person in my line was about 50 yrs of age and you could definitely tell she wasn't in the best mood. She gives me this 15 minute lecture on how in her day you respected the elderly. She then commences to threaten to tell the manager about the snot on my clothes if I didn't give her a 25 percent discount. If you have ever worked at a store you know if you do that it comes out of your pocket and it's against store policy.
After I ring her up she swears something in a different language, never a good sign. She leaves and my manager comes up to my post and says that I am really close to being fired because of my uncourteous treatment to the elderly. I now am getting minimum wage again. The whole experience: and hour, fifteen minutes. My shift: over quite awhile ago.

Grr!! I know exactly what you mean. People are extremely frustrating...The one good thing I picked up from working as a cashier in a grocery store is to have patience. I have newfound respect for cashiers everywhere. People automatically go off on the cashier, when they are probably the least appropriate person to bring the problem to.

Please, folks. If you take nothing else from mine and raptor's ranting...please be more patient with cashiers. It's not often their fault, and they need to take quite a lot of crap from most of their customers. Just keep that in mind...we all have our good and bad days.

Heh, I used to work in a call centre... talk about stupid customers! People seem to forget they are talking to a human being when they get on the phone. THe one I used to love most was when people would ring up and threaten to switch to another company... like I gave a stuff! I felt like saying "Go ahead, that way I won't have to sit here listening to you **** all day..."
