Okay.. so I'm messing around with Photoshop (CS) now and I'm trying to like .. erase a house/plants and such from this picture that I just want there to be a tree in. ... annnd I can't figure out how to do that. The closest I've got is by using the Healing Brush Tool.. but I thought there was an easier way to do it. .. is there not?
Thanks for any help.

well you'd normally use the clone tool for removing something like that or pasting in a similar area from somewhere else in the image and blending it in. the healing brush if you use it at all is pretty much for that - just healing random bits of detritus.

wait.. is there even a difference between the healing brush and the clone thing? They seem to do the same thing..

they are similar in some respects but the healing tools automatically tries and samples the surrounding areas to cover up blemishes and usually works - the clone tool does as its name suggests clones one area to another.
