IRC = Internet Relay chat... sorta like IM of the "olden days". I've never used it, but luckily I know of it.

After the wrath of Caedes, I did a little research. I got hold of an IRC client called mIRC.
When I opened the program, I chose Freenode as the network. When you log on to the server, it gives you a list of all the open chats. You can then select #caedes.
At least, I assume that is what you do, as I have never done it. When I logged on there was no caedes chat, presumably because one had not been initiated by someone. That's about as much as I know.

The channel is #caedes.net not #caedes. I just created #caedes when I was first thinking about it, but I'd rather have the full name of the site in the channel name.
