portrait vs landscape

Hi...I'm new to this site. Does it do any good to post pictures laid out as portrait vs laid out as landscape? Seems that the images on this site are used for wallpaper, so I wasn't sure if it made sense to use portrait format. Not many monitors go up and down... Thanks!

Well all the images are put on here in wallpaper format, standard wallpaper sized. Though many images are posted not necessarily as wallpaper, they can be used as such. So I don't think if you try to post them otherwise it'll take.

lol. hi Jeff. There's been alot of discussion about it, and in the future there may be, but for now everything needs to fit into a desktop wallpaper format.

If you'd like you can add borders or other background like PrettyFae's Image which will allow you to share your vertical images.

(and welcome to Caedes) 8•)

Edit: the woman above me and I frequently seem to post on the same threads on or around the same times. I have discovered that I appear to be freakishly sharing a brain with her.

Back to the original comment, I think there have been many beautiful portrait mode images posted on Caedes. Definitely possible.

Here is an excellent example I found today of how to actually -improve- an image by adding a frame to it. This could apply to framed landscape images aswell as portrait style images.
