Scour the different gallery genres, are we not all plagiarists to a certain degree? Add a few to your favorites, put them side to side, and see what I mean, there are so many similarities. You may agree or disagree with my opinion.

And now for you pirates who steal other's creations. May you take a long walk off a short pier ( or plank, arghhhhhhhhhhh ). What in the world do you gain from this thievery? Impressing someone? Who are you kidding!

Please reply to this post, with either a positive or negative feedback. That is what a discussion is all about.

Thank you for your patience,

Sandra

Putting an image in your Favorites gallery isn't like stealing :) It's just saying, I liked this, so it's in my favorites...like food...you eat it cause you like it...not so that someone else can't have it...ok umm..bad analogy but get my point?

Andrew,

I was meaning comparing images, not stealing them. Thank you for your reply.

I think I see Andrew's analogy. The fav. gallery is different, and it takes you to the image's main page. Also, the fav. gallery is on caedes, so the images still stay on here belonging to their correct authors.

Comparing images - like how? And besides, that can't be controlled anyway. You can't stop people from comparing images on sites. I've come across a lot of webpages where people post URLs of their favorite images from here.

The reason most people rip off others work is -

1. They don't know it's copyrighted and have to ask the artist's permission
2. They are too lazy to ask the artist's permission
3. They want to sell it off and make money (happens sometimes - Check the Vigilante Justice forum)
4. Sometimes they visit the author's homepage or work on another site and rip it off from there, not Caedes.

If you mean the first person to photograph a flower is the only person allowed to photograph a flower from that point forward ...

OK .. I'll vote for that
