My boyfriend and I would like to save for a vacation. Neither of us has had a vacation in years. Where are some memorable places to go?

France was beautiful. I have been to Florence and Milan but I thought Italy was dirty when I was there. The food was fantastic but expensive

If you close your eyes and dream a vacation, you won't be overcharged, get sea sick, have anything stolen, get tired of tipping, eat too much on a cruise or drink too much when you are out in rough waters and get sick.....

Austria is one of my very favorites...Salzburg & Vienna are very beautiful!

There are many places in Australia I could reccomend, but it is a long way to go for you...

In australia is the longest highway of the world isn't it ?

I think so . Most of it would be pretty empty though...

By the way sam, I have a question for u,
My uncle went to australia... he was there for 3 months or something..
And..at one day, he was driving at a normal highway... and next to the
highway was a tree... u never gonna believe what kinda tree it was..
In the tree where hundreds of shoe's.... all kina shoe's new ones, old ones,
nice ones, ugly ones... They where hanging in the whole tree!!

If u know more about this,
can u tell me more of it? What is the meaning of it? Who is the starter? Why next to a highway? My uncle has a photo of it if u guys don't believe me.

Agree with Teresa, Austria is very beautiful and the Canarian Islands are nice .
But for m the most beautiful are the Greeks Islands.

I don't think I have ever even see pictures of the Greek Islands. The world is such a beautiful place. I wish I had the time and money to see every place. It seems some times by the time you have the money, you may be too old to enjoy. Or if you do without the usual like have the kids, get the nice home thing, then you could travel every where....my luck I would travel, then get Alsheimers and forget where I even went. ( I know I spelled the disease wrong)

The best place I have been to yet on this planet is Assisi in Italy. That place is just so peaceful and beautiful. I highly recommend going there.

I have been to Florence and Rome but not Assisi. Where is it compared to those places. My memory of the geography there is sadly lacking today.

Florence is like a touristy place, and Rome is a big city. Assisi is a little, medival, quiet, peaceful town up on a hillside. It is completely made of stone still. It is just beautiful.

I would love to see it. It sounds like a trip back to Italy needs to happen for me. Do you have any pictures of this location? Is there any time of year that is less expensive to travel there or that the weather is better than any other time?
