The main reason for me is that DeviantArt is just too big. Too many members, too many images... just not as "intimate", I guess. Or maybe it's just because I know caedes.net better and have been here longer.

I love both DA and Caedes. But I started out with Caedes, like Andrew said, Caedes is like home for me. Especially with all the wonderful people.

The people I interact with on DA are nice too, but it closer here. More friendly.

I knew about deviantART...I found Caedes via random search...

I prefer Caedes over dA (even though Caedes is a wallpaper-based image site, and dA covers a wide spectrum of post formats - i.e. .JPEG, .GIF, Flash, etc.)...because of the strict post guidelines that Caedes adheres by (namely no celebs, gore, death, or sexually illicit posts whatsoever)...dA (naturally) allows that stuff (to a certain extent), and I wanted to be part of a community that isn't overwhelmed by it - there's enough crap on the internet as it is...Caedes is also a much friendlier environment...The hierarchy and the community tends to keep the "undesireables" off the site...Keep it up!

I'm on both, and Caedes is far more useable. Plus you tend to get feedback fairly quickly. dA is just far too big to be manageable.

I'm with Jhihmoac. I really like how caedes.net controls it's content so that it remains a "clean" website.

I found dA before they renovated the site recently (within the last year or so) was easy to get around. Although caedes is much easier. When dA renovated with the new flash (I think) menus, it seemed harder to navigate. I like some of the features that dA has for the artist's pages, how they are layed out and the content of them compared to caedes. I do, however, prefer caedes much more for it's friendly, somewhat close knit community.

DeviantArt is hard to navigate around...no one ever bothers commenting your work.

Ah, I'm with Jhihmoac and them. Enough with the crudity already. Hasn't anyone else noticed that the Greek and Roman empires fell when that stuff started increasing in their culture? It's called moral degeneration and I'm so tired of it I want to scream. Caedes is cleaner, friendlier, faster, has a higher quality of images, a more encouraging atmosphere, and people actually ANSWER you when you post something. I posted something there once or twice and got next to no response. In my previous username here I posted a couple things and got more feedback, even though I never posted anything extraordinary (due to a severe lack of resources).

Ah... it's so wonderful... the people here know how to be humourous without being crude. The whole idea just doesn't enter so many people's heads...

DA is about worthless. Yes, I have an account there. I've made one post back in December and have not gotten a single comment on it. There's no grading or feedback system other than comments. I do like that you can see who's viewed your page and I like that you can do journal entries, but without feedback or some assurance of it, why post?

Caedes at least has a three comment minimum and solicits comments for photos that do not have enough. What it doesn't have is any sort of assurance of quality comments and you can't see who voted on your pic and how they voted.

Some night.....before falling asleep......think about this:

Good

1. The people are just a heap nicer.
2. Quality! Quality! QUALITY!
3. I have been a member on here, not on DA yet.
4. I know heaps of people.
5. The is no sick stuff on here.

Bad

1. No as many people.
2. Most of the sizes are the same.
3. NO FAN ART!!!! ARGH!!!!!!!!!
4. NO Jack Sparrow art, *cries*
5. Not many photos of people, who know with mountains of makeup, I love those!!!

Devaint Art:

Good:

1. A wide range of art.
2. FANART!!!!!!!! JACK SPARROW!!!!!!!
3. Emotive Potraits.
4. Heaps of members
5. You can buy things.

Bad:

1. It's not all quality
2. There are mean people on there.
3. There are some sick images on there
4. Pictures can be yucky
5. Milloins of members.

Personally, I would say it is a good thing that celebrity pictures aren't allowed; It makes the person actually have to make an image, rather than steal it from that other website.
