No not at all. I'm casting doubt over the hot(tie) status of your average British weather. Not many sun tanning opportunities during the year... so a "round the corner" lens might be an expensive investment for only a couple of days worth of fun :P
Though if that picture is anything to go by, I would rather invest in a very durable and non-removeable lens cap!
