Still have a couple of shot left from my recent trip to Mark Twain Lake. You can see them all and find out information about Florida, Missouri and Mark Twain Lake by clicking here.

Most likely I will present this cabin and the previous one in black and white somewhere along the line. However, since most of us are just escaping winter and enjoying the colors of Spring, I will wait a bit. I left a small w on winter and a big S on spring intentionally to show my feeling on the two seasons.

Edit-Another Mark Twain Quote: When I was younger I could remember anything, whether it happened or not; but my faculties are decaying, now, & soon I shall be so I cannot remember any but the latter. It is sad to go to pieces like this, but we all have to do it. I sure resemble that remark.

This is an excellent capture. Love the colors and the lighting is perfect in my opinion. The trees light up the background so well . Nicely done.

Personally, TicK, I'm very impressed with the nicely mowed lawn. The lawn looks like something I might see on a golf course or the outfield at a major league ballpark. I would, however, be surprised to see this cabin on a golf course or an outfield.

Very nice work with the contrasting light. My typical shots have a dark background and a bright foreground although I'm not sure why. Must be the local fog or air pollution. But the brightly lit forest is a nifty background for the heavily shaded cabin. I also like the composition and the way you handled the colors on the cabin. If I tried this, the cabin shadows would have turned blue. Your post photo work, which was fine years ago, continues to improve.

And I also recall your avatar from long ago. Might have been the first avatar you had when we first became Caedes friends. I remember feeling quite sorry for you and having a deep understanding of why your golf shots always found every hazard on the course.

Quite a colourful image with the trees all lit up by the sun in their yellow/brown glory and the cabin with its blue roof and wall. As for Mark Twain's observations about himself I would say that the less one broods about it the better it is for himself - and his family :)

WOW! That's one handsome cabin. When you have a two story cabin, it must show that you have big bucks! This is a beautiful composition, Tick. I love the treatment you used, and the sunshine hitting in certain areas. Very very nice!

Wonderful shot. I also like the shadier foreground with that beautiful sunlight on the trees. It will be a natural in B&W for sure, but glad you showed it to us in color. Faved.
