I thought you might like a closer view of the Forgotten Man which you can see here.

He woke up while I was taking some photos of an old house by where he was sleeping. He was a kind man and allowed me to take his photo. He didn't ask for anything. but I gave him a little money for his time. It is one of the most interesting faces I have seen in some time. The deep lines remind me of furrows etched with experience. He was in Quincy and I didn't ask his name, so I thought Jones was as good as any.

That is a face that tells a story - probably a story of hardships and disappointments. Great shot Tick!

His whole life is written on his face. Another powerful image Tick, which goes to remind us how lucky we are.

Reminds us to be grateful for what we have.... like a place to sleep at night . Dan and I have come across a few in this man's place , it is always heart breaking.

The man's expression reminds me of one my Grandpa would make when he would pause while telling one of his life stories of hardship during the Great Depression. I'm sure this gentleman has many stories to tell as well. Excellent capture Tick ... you brought out Mr. Jones' facial features perfectly. I like the B & W presentation too.

Those are called Character Lines. I know because I have many of them myself and people are always saying...."You're Quite a Character"!

Excellent Work there Shankasarous.

That's one helluva character impression, Tick. I think there's too much peripheral material to do it the justice it deserves, as the face alone tells the story. Basically, just a tighter crop.

The beauty of this photo is the assumptions the viewer makes based on the limited information we have. A great portrait of this gentleman. Wonderful details and clarity in the photo and a great presentation.
