If you think this photo looks busy, you should have been at the Christmas program. I was just piddlin' around and came up with this. This was taken at one of my grandson's Christmas Programs last week. It was 3rd thru 6th graders. My grandson is in the 4th grade and is not pictured. I couldn't help but notice all the folks taking photos and videos and found them almost as interesting as the children.

It makes me wonder what my grandparents would have thought of people looking through little screens during the program. Back in the day, they only had a good memory to preserve the moment. Anyway it made me think of this song.

In the first place: Thanks for the link to Martina McBride's wonderful song. In the second place thanks for your perfect observation. Changing times OFT (Owd Fella Tick)! Recently I was with my children and grandchilren in a restaurant. At another table I saw a couple having dinner (by candlelight, lol). Instead of the normal conversation with each other, it seemed that they were communicating with each other by means of only their smart phone. I couldn't believe my eyes. I have still some problems to get used with such habits in what seems to be the modern times. Think that your image has depicted a rather similar situation, Ron.

Very well done!

Regards, Cornelius.

I could not agree more with our C [Sea as you call our friend who occupied all this space before me :)]. People in the ancient times of my own childhood [-50 oh all right I look younger from behind LOL] had simple cameras and no mobile phones at all !!! How could they exist I wonder ?! LOL How could I ? LOL These days I will post a pic of a couple walking hand in hand [=date apparently] busy talking to their smart phones - separately ... End of the world is approaching Armageddon as I always say ! This is really ingenious Tick! That's what parents are supposed to do at Christmas Pageants; record the event so they can embarrass the little ones when they have grown. Bravo!

Very clever take on things Tick - my niece and nephew have grown up with all manner of digital electronics and it seems as if every moment of their lives has been recorded for posterity - I sometimes wonder if that is a good thing. You great image gives one pause for thought.

Good one, Tick. Your creation and all the following commentary brought back my youngest daughter's playful antics of a get-together last Christmas. I had given her a Canon DSLR, and every time I turned around she had her arms outstreched, camera in hand, and was taking pictures of herself.... and she was born on December 31st/1969. No Spring Chicken :-)

Your observations are identical to mine Tick. I noticed during all the hoohah leading up to last year's Olympic Games that any shots of crowds following the progress of the Olympic Torch nearly everybody was watching via a small screen. Your image captures this idea perfectly.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

The only thing missing is someone making a sketch of the concert. Great composition with the inclusion of the different camera types and an inventive presentation Ron.
