The sound of the Lunar Eclipse work me up a 3:00 a.m. this morning. Since I was awake I decided to try and get a photo. It was cold, I am old and this is the result. I tried to set up the tripod but almost fell off the porch. Did I mention it was cold and I was old? It was quite a sight. I have another when the eclipse first started and I might post it someday, lest I forget. Did I mention I was old?

This is a site we should see in the UK tonight and you have captured this scene very nicely and for the distance the detail is not bad at all my friend.

Well, young man, this ain't bad. I forgot all about it, because I am old, unlike you. Maybe I will take a shot of the moon one day and tint it in editing, and try to convince someone, and it is the blood moon of April 15, 2014.

Well , I am younger than you are and I couldn't even manage to drag myself out to bed to view it let alone take some shots at it . SAAB's probably older than all of us .... that 10 year dog age thing . I think you did a great job and by sharing it , those of us that slept through it are able to view it . I got tangled up in my tripod on the bank of the pond one time and it wasn't pretty .... but I saved the camera ! The horses still tell that story and snicker at me when they see me coming with the tripod and camera .

Not bad at all Tick, in fact it is a beautiful shot of the blood moon. I don't think I would have tried it - anyway it must have been morning here already.

I would say that based on the composition of this image you are definitely old and were probably cold. Excellent and somewhat spooky Tick; I hope you didn't turn into a werewolf. I understand that you're in for a surfeit of lunar eclipses in the next year.

Everyone seemed to tie-in with your age, cold temps, and, again your old age. Me, I see a bit of CCR in your shot and thought of this:

"I see the bad moon arising.
I see trouble on the way.
I see earthquakes and lightnin'.
I see bad times today."

Try and get some rest tonight ;)

Sorry to hear you've caught a cold. It's probably from wandering about in the middle of the night under-dressed mooning the neighbours.
Nothing but cloudy overcast skies here last night, so I wasn't able to get any shots of the blood moon. Nice work, TicK.
