Starglow(Carol) is under the weather with the shingles. You can read about it here.

Carol lives in Northern Iowa and this scene is the Welcome Center in Iowa on Interstate 35 just after you leave Minnesota. I am sure she has seen it before. I thought it pretty neat that the motif is typical of what you see while driving in Northern Iowa. Barns and Silos. Just check out her gallery if you don't believe me. Hope you recover soon, Carol.

What a wonderful welcome center - I could live in this. Great shot Tick and we all hope Carol feels a lot better real soon. Can you go inside the silo part or is it just for show from the outside?

Thank you Ron,
Thanks for the concern from you friends, we are trying to keep Shingles from going to my eye, so it's hard to work the computer for me anyway with one eye.
I have seen the barn and it is a beauty, many thanks, Ron

What beautiful looking barn this is and the colours are stunning and nicely balanced plus the detail in this photo is lovely and sharp plus nice composition too.Building like this in the UK would be turned into homes and the price to by would be out of most people prize range .Sorry to hear of Carols illness I been inflected with this illness myself and it no fun ,let hope she get better soon .Now I understand why she just add her name to my post poor lady .

Very good picture of a typical barn and silo Tick. Referring to Richie's comment, I didn't know that the Scud was a vertical launched one, lol.

Regards, Sea.

I haven't seen this welcome center but been to a similar one as you cross the Mississippi from Illinois to Iowa. Well taken Tick and I join the chorus wishing Carol well - I was through that miserable condition so I empathize.

I know little about Iowa except that the great American writer Bill Bryson started one of his travel books with the classic line, "I grew up in Des Moines, well someone had to."
Great image of a very impressive barn.
