I guess I'm trying to prove there is a need for a "Photojournalism" gallery on Caedes with all the flood photos I have and will be posting. This is the Wabash Bridge for trains in Hannibal, Missouri, and as you can see, the water is up to the level of the bridge. Normally, the bridge has 20 feet of clearance from the water. Here is a link that will give you more information concerning the bridge.

The water level had dropped to 28.35 feet this morning. Hannibal is above where the Missouri River and Ohio River enter the Mississippi You can look at this chart and see some of the differences in the water level. The Missouri River enters at St. Louis and the Ohio between Cape Girardeau and Memphis, Tennessee. If you want to review some of my earlier posts with information, you can start here.

I was going to ask if it was a kind of Transport crossing...but according to your link it does have trains!....

A great view point for this picture...

You were already a good journalist...Now a 'Great' one!...

There must be a tremendous strain on the bridge supports when the flowing water is at that level. It is still holding on and hope there won't be any serious damage.

Yes, I agree, we do need a Photojournalism gallery and will have to keep reminding the powers that be...meantime, a great angle and well captured image portraying the major flooding in this area along with your informative narrative...well done, Tick...excellent reporting!

Amazing shot Tick - very clearly illustrates the high level of the flooding and also clearly demonstrates the need for a photojournalism category.

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), I support your plea for adding a 'photo journalism' gallery on Caedes.
Your recent images and narratives show how interesting such a gallery could be.
By checking-out your first link, I've compared the photograph on the top/right side of the page with your actual submission. Because of the dropping water level, a 'narrow escape'!

Excellent work again from you, 👍 !

My goodness - the amount of water in the flooded areas must be millions of gallons. It's hard to fathom, until a photo such as this portrays the vastness of the flood. Thanks for the photo journal series.

I agree there should be a category for this type of photography. Excellent shot showing us just how high the river was. Almost looks like it is floating
