I found these artists painting a mural on the side of a building in Unionville, Missouri last week. It made me realize that not all graffiti artists do their work in the dark of the night. They were drawing quite the crowd. I have another photo with a man taking a photo of them. I could have cropped out the lens flare and window, but I felt it adds something to the scene, so I left it in.

I think there is somewhat of a distinction between wall art and graffitti and I would call this wall art or a mural...looks like it will be quite an interesting scene when complete and very well done...I agree, the lens flare fits, suggestive of all the attention these artists captured...great post, Tick, and hope we will one day see the finished product.

I really wish there were a lot more of this! I feel art such as this that is community based would really bolster a great sense of pride.

It does indeed - composing the scene this way makes the viewer feel part of it.

Takes quite a few people to paint one that big. It is interesting for sure. Nice capture.

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), I knew already that mural art can be a very attractive. Think I have proven this with my mural series.
Therefore it's good to see worldwide that people have the same idea about that.

Perfect addition to the photojournalism gallery. Hope to see a picture from you when this artwork is finished

I love murals, they can be very decorative and can beautify the surrounding.

A wonderful way to commemorate the past. That way future generations can see a bit of history and think about it every time they pass that way. Good capture Tick.

Fantastic to see such a mural. Love it when we still see some of the fine old advertisement paintings on the sides of old buildings.
