This is definitely a saver, a beautiful old Chicago brick home. I think I heard that Chicago brick part someplace and it stuck with me. They might have been once painted and the paint wore off on part of the brick. Still looks like it might be lived in. Great capture.
A fine old structure Tick - great editing on your part - is that an upright vacuum cleaner on the threshold lol - Great Find and Capture - p.s. - also like the rabbit out back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Owd Fella Tick (OFT), think that Raj is right about the rabbit. Great textures in this well composed shot. In Holland we've the saying: "Krakende wagens gaan het langst mee." (Creaking carriages last the longest). Think (referring to your narrative) it's not only valid for this building, but for you and me as well, 😜 !

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
I can almost sense Paul Revere riding by and shouting to me, "The British are coming!"
Tick, excellent composition with the colors, border, overlays, and of course the house.
