In my last post Common Pleas Courthouse I provided a link to the movie Gone Girl.. A portion of the movie was filmed in Cape Girardeau, Missouri which is pictured in my photo today. The Bar, pictured in the right hand corner of this photo, played a role in the film. I was standing on the steps of the courthouse when I took this photo. The Mississippi River can be seen through the opening in the River Wall in the center of the photo. The opening is covered when the river is flooding. The River Wall is covered with Murals which I plan to share at a later date.

This will be my contribution to SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE MOVIES.

Another highly crafted photograph, Ron. Cape Girardeau, Missouri looks a lot like the town where I now live. I like the clouds drifting by, the shadows crossing what may be Main Street, and the interesting golfer covering the trash can. He must be why the town looks so clean.

Has that river town look to it Tick - having lived in Peoria IL for 11 years growing up this seemed very familiar. Nice one.

Great shot! I'm sure some businesses have either folded or moved elsewhere (That's modern-day America in general for you), but otherwise, this town/county seat looks very much alive!

Good presentation! Faved

Nice shot for the movie theme, Tick. I noticed you left your mark on the old trash can in the left hand corner.

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), when I saw the title announced in my friends-list I thought you would had chosen this music video as entry for the SNATM-theme (🎥), but honesty oblige me to say that your choice is a far better one.
Perfectly done (again), 👍

Reminds me of Jeffersonville, IN which is the river town close by to us with the river wall. Feels very familiar and homey to me. The detailed movie description really make this image special. Lovely series you're putting together!

Beautiful picture of an old part of the town. Neat and tidy work, Tick. What a coincidence, I translated this movie a month ago.
