This is my final photo of the late Kelly Poling's Mural in Excelsior Springs, Mo. You can view the other two here and here.

This scene really makes me wonder what was actually happening. My first thought was a prisoner being delivered. The man on the left by the coach seems to be restrained or perhaps he is an undertaker. Someone is definitely garnering their attention and something is about to happen. I'm sure it has something to do with the history of Excelsior Springs. I haven't received any answers to my queries, so for now, I will just have to wonder. Again, this is my tribute to the artist Kelly Poling who died in December of 2018. Someday I hope to go to Chillicothe, Missouri where he has several murals. I will choose one of these for the current Street Photography contest, I'm just not sure which one it will be.

I too believe the rig and person on the left are connected to a funeral. He was an exceptional artist with a unique palette and eye.

I really appreciate the posture of his creations. Its very realistic in how they carry themselves and I think it's brilliant. Thanks for sharing this series!

All three are equally beautiful and they show the amazing talent of Mr. Poling, the artist.

In this one, it looks like the viewer (or someone in the viewer's direction) is being asked to "draw" --- and NOT with a pencil, pen, paint brush, spray can, nor digital pen - either!

Nice collection of mural views, Cap'n... Faved

An excellent artist. I followed all of your links and especially enjoyed the one allowing the viewing of his other works.

His daughter, by the way, is on Facebook with his art.

All three are exceptional. I see an undertaker waiting to do a pickup, after the deed is done, by the sheriff who has his gun ready.
I hope you can make the trip so you can share more.

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), me too.
The attractiveness of these kind of murals is that it stimulates our brain in interpreting the possibilities what had happened here.
Whether this one will be your entry for the Street Photography contest or one of the two other murals, any choice will be good, because all of the three meets the contest topic perfectly.
Wish you Good Luck with the one you'll chose.

PS: I've S+F'ved this one too. Thanks, 👍 !
