I finally got a shot of a Cardinal in my back yard. I had the camera on a tripod sitting outside my window and a remote controlled shutter release inside. He sure was a bright colored one. I also have a picture of him with a Blue Jay which shows quite the contrast. I might share it in the future. He was pleased to learn a Cardinal Fan had moved into this house. I told him I was pleased as well. We talked a little baseball and he was not happy that the 2020 Season was shortened. We agreed that it will probably be cancelled altogether due to the virus. Better to be safe then sorry. He also told me he would let me know if he wanted into the current contest. I couldn't help but call him Stan the Man as he flew away.

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), I suppose you've invited this flying cardinal (during your small talk with it) for the next baseball match of the human cardinals, probably in 2021.
I'm waiting for his reply whether it wants to be into the current contest. If it will give you the confirmation, I wish you the best of luck with this entry!

I think our feathered friend was actually caught by you doing his broadcast, "The pitcher releases the ball. It's an off speed offering that Tyler O'Neill loves and he connects with a powerful swing sending the ball deep into the bleacher seats. Chalk this up as another win for our hometown 'boys of summer.' This is Mike Shannon, with John Rooney, KMOX 1120 radio, signing off until we meet again."

A lovely shot of the cardinal Tick. Just the way I took all my bird photos sitting comfortably in a chair and with remote switch and watching the display on the camera.
I remember that you used to talk to horses. Talking to a bird ( exception parrots and the likes) is a bit more difficult I guess.

Now surely you win the prize if indeed you can have a chat with your pictured Cardinal fan. I'm sure he will fit in with all that red standing out for the current contest. Good shot and good wit, Tick.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
