Caught this Barred Owl just as the Sun began It's day. It's eyes looked tired . Probably up all night searching for food. Not seeing to much for them to eat after these storms. But this guy still looks Pretty Fit. Have A Great Day ! E J

Very Nice, EJ! Was that catchlight natural or did you put it there with a Beamer? Seems like that first hour of light is always the best -- especially when shooting birds. Bravo.

Wow. He is a big fella or she is a big girl, not too up on my owl identification but he or she is beautiful. Nice job.

He has such beautiful colorings and looks wonderful up there on his perch with all the pretty moss and green leaves and blue sky providing a backdrop.

Excellent close up EJ! I was just at Merritt Island NWR, FL where I took a nature trail that had huge spiders and webs hanging everywhere.

I got barred from a tavern once for making too much noise after hours. It turned out to be a wise decision. Does that make be a barred owl? This is without a doubt my favorite of yours Frogz. 10/10 and faved.

I never see owls around here, and you see them all the time. It's not fair. How about if we switch areas for a while. You can go to work for me, too, and I will....never mind. I can't fly a chopper or pilot an airboat. LOL. Another great shot, EJ.

I can tell this is close to dawn because of that beautiful clear, cold light. It shows off the owl really well - I guess he's been out on the tiles all night!

EJ, My mom has always loved owls, she has been in the hospital for over 5 months but is home now and doing better but has a long way to go. This capture leaves me speechless. Thank you my friend. I would love to print this one out for my mom and frame it if it is ok with you. Scott

I REALLY appreciate this posting. In all my years of birding, I've never been privilidged to see an Owl in the wild - only in captivity. Congratulations EJ on a wonderful image, outstanding in it's color and clarity throughout.
