I really love watching them as well as the shape and form of their bodies in flight. What beautiful detail and lighting enhancing this shot! Thank you for sharing them.
Full frame? you must be so close to capture this Angel in the sky. I am waiting for them to come to Missouri, I think I can get close to them. Beautiful photo.
This is such an amazing capture! I think it is hard to capture things in movement, and you did it, and made it look wonderful! I also love how his white wings contrast the bright blue sky! Breath taking!
Just like an angel, EJ! I've probably said something like that before, but when they seem to be gliding and all in white, that is what I think of. Beautiful capture!
What more can be said? That mean ol' CI is right where it should be as I write this. The sun coming through this guy's feather's is such a great touch. Just loving your Egret's this year, will never tire of them and your great photography EJ... *Mary*
You make taking a great close of a flying Egret look effortless when I know it's really hard to do. The only birds that stand still enough for me to take are stuffed ones.
Which one of your recently uploaded egret shots is the best? It is very hard to decide. Each one is excellent and outstandingly beautiful. Many thanks for sharing them.

Been meaning to comment on this...while many if not most of your bird shots are fantastic this really stands out for me...the stop action, the splay of wing span, the creamy white against a light blue sky...almost angelic...just gorgeous, EJ...faved.
Now THIS is fantastic!! It looks like one of the Asian paintings on silk. Perfect Egret...with wings that make it look as tho it is wearing a shroud/cape. Very very lovely photo. I miss the Egrets, here in ORegon we have Bloo Herons..and they are pretty, but not like the Great Egrets in Louisiana. Thanx for the memories and for a gorgeous photo. Verena
