Another Mantis picture from the day I found one a male Preying Mantis in Freetown, Ma., the first picture posted was Detected. . This was the first one I ever found up here In Massachussetts. In this picture the Mantis is on his way up the Flower seen in Detected. Thanks for viewing I hope you enjoy.

The eyes have it in this shot. I think the Mantis is a very cool and interesting insect to watch. Nice capture.

OK Chris, how much did you pay this model? He's LOOKING AT ME. Freaky damn cool man. That one element, the insect looking directly at the camera, makes this one a standout in my books. The detail is great, the sharpness of the relevant top half of the bug, the softness of the bg, it all just works a treat. You could clone out a fair bit of the spots and blemishes on the leaves, but that's me being a "pixel peeper" and not really relevant to the great image you have captured as is.
