Twin Lakes is on Orcas Island, and when the water's calm, standing on the boundary between the large and small lakes, the large lake reflects beautifully with the sky.
G'day .A15,
You're right, that is one hell of a fine reflection and well worth capturing. It deserves better colour saturation (I think it's a bit over-exposed) and some additional sharpness to make the most of it's potential. Your composition is pretty good - it's always tough to know, when we are focussed on reflections, whether to scrap the rule of thirds or not. I'd have done what you did. Lotsa potential with this shot, if you can get back there you could take a real humdinger with a bit of preparation. :)
Mikel.
You captured a nice view and obviously have a good eye for a viewpoint. The comment above is spot-on with colour saturation though, this does look over-exposed and deserves richer colour. I don't know that you need to go back there to improve it, a little post work - even in a free programme like Picasa 2 - could make a lot of difference.
