nice spread of colour and composition David but I would have been tempted to open up the aperture to bring more of the elements into focus or alternately try to focus more on the foreground area.

This is a great picture. Well done, love the clarity of the single flower within the bunch. Great colors. Job well done :)

You will have to forgive me and perhaps, thank me?

My comments are kind of, sort of, a dichotomy. First, I love the composition. The balance of subject matter is very good. I truly love the colour palette here in this image. Give me reds and greens and throw in some whites for contrast and I am quite content.

Now, the caveat ... ohh, I hope the opportunity presents itself, for a revisit by you to this scene. A few tweaks and this would go from very good to outstanding.

So, kudos for having seen the shot first, you have a great 'eye.' (Took a peek at your gallery ... nice.) And if this was an exploration for you, I look forward to seeing more work.
