Caveats/suggestion(s).
Might have been tempted to simply erase that part of your design/pen tool work ... that creates a merger with the left-hand side frame.
Or..
Perhaps, and as some creative food for thought ... an inset/inlaid 'border' .. to frame things.
Gorgeous colour palette. Most fitting for your idea here, as well as that of a contest entry/submission.

Oooh, lovely. I like it, its delicacy. Maybe darkening it a bit would make it a little better for the brighter monitors (like mine), but even now it's excellent.
