The bird in this picture is perhaps one of my favorite birds. It is an albino peacock. I was surprised to come across one at the Oklahoma Zoo. Despite my efforts I was unable to catch this bird with his feathers fully displayed but I could not pass up the opportunity to take a picture of such a beautiful bird. Any comments welcome, thank you! Allee.

Allee, this is actually a rather complex capture. I suspect you were in the sun while the bird is in the shade which makes exposure extemely difficult. While the bushes in the backround are a quite underexposed I suspect it is the best that could be hoped for. The bird itself is in lovely contrast, well composed and nicely focused. Very nicely done!

I've never even heard of an albino peacock! Cool! What a beautiful bird it is. And by the way, welcome to Caedes! And while I'm here, thanks for your comment on my Twinkler. Us fellow Iowans have to stick together huh?..lol

Nice photo Alice. I was taking a look at your gallery after you commented on my photo and it is a very good gallery. I like the varied shots you have taken. You seem to travel a lot. The peacock is a gorgeous bird but they can be mean and protective. At least I remember them that way. Once again, welcome to Caedes.

NBC should have used that for their logo before color TV. LOL. Very nice picture, Alice.

I perhaps will have to go to Oklahoma to see this fine example of a rare gem. I am glad I took a look in you gallery; I was at the Zoo in Kansas a month or so ago and my mom inquired about albino peacocks. I will have to show her this one. I never would have though that albinos would be more regal that their regular counterparts. Thank you for sharing this.
