Perfect title! The feeling of impending Doom, but with the glimmer of light coming. Interesting graininess on this shot that gives it a painterly feeling... Or...interesting post-photo processing that gives it a painterly feeling. However you got there, I like it!

Nice LOTR reference, it does indeed look like it could be right out of the movie. Very interesting textures.

First I want to welcome you to caedes! And what a beautiful photo as your first posting!This looks almost like a charcoal or pencil drawing, since there is so much graininess...it looks as tho it is on some kind of textured drawing paper. But I do like the photo very much. I love the drama it gives us. And those shades of gray, wow. Very nice depth to the whole scene. I look forward to seeing more your of photos. Verena
