This picture was taken before I had a decent digital and on one of my first trips to the UAE. This is the view from my hotel room in the middle of downtown. It was beautiful and while not too clear, I thought you would enjoy it as well. Thanks for all your support and kind words. Anita

A gorgeous view from your hotel room Anita ... to be able to see that fountain every day must have been relaxing. Looks like a nice park too. A great shot ... thank you for sharing it with us.

Quite a view. I understand this country is quite wealthy. They must have this sort of display in the larger cities I would imagine.

Never rebuke while you’re still indignant about a fault committed—wait until the next day, or even longer. Then calmly, and with a purer intention, make your reprimand. You’ll gain more by a friendly word than by a three-hour quarrel. -Josemaria Escriva

If my memory serves me right, this is one of the little ones now. Didn't the king of that region build an elaborate structure that dwarfs anything else? I might be confused with another place but this is a great shot. I wish the picture itself was bigger though then i could see more. I am nosy and my eyes ain't as good as they were.......he says in a put on frail voice. lol.

Well done and thanks for sharing.

That's exactly why I found this so interesting. Everyone thinks of it as the desert when actually it has lush greenery and beautiful parks everywhere Hans. I heard that they found a way for water treatment from the salt water and keep the greenery lush that way. It truly was amazing.

What a view Anita. The landscape here is just beautiful. And of course those fountains are the scene stealer here. Most people when they think of this country think of street vendors, crowding, and despair. Thanks for reputing this belief with this photo.
