Hope you're not getting tired just yet of the Colorado scenery ;) Thanks for visiting and know that I appreciate all of your comments and kind words for all my posts. Anita
The composition is so inviting, Anita ... just get a canoe and float up stream and around that bend ... Breathtaking scenery! Not in the least tired of these photos ... keep 'em coming! :))
This agai looks like a shot right out of a western. I can imagine the heard being driven through the river to get to the other side, the rain pooring and the water rising. The shot as always is exceptional. Thanks for sharing
WOWWWW, this is just breathtakingly beautiful! It's so "real", almost feel if I can just step into the picture and be THERE! Lovely composition of a wonderful place. Well done

Look there in the distance. Is that John Wayne and Audrey Hepburn? :))) I never get tired of the scenery. Especially since I've experienced so little of it. Thank you very very much for posting it Anita. It looks like places I've only seen in old coyboy movies.
Marvelous panarama of earthtones. Starting at the river then over the rolling hills to the mountains beyond ...all clear as a bell. Outstanding photography Anita ... just beautiful.
Another great one. If you get over here on the western slope around Grand Junction, give me a hello, ok. (right now you're about 5 hours) And I, like the others, am not getting tired of the CO shots'. Especially since, I' don't get to that side of the mountain. Keep the outstanding photo's coming. We enjoy them

This is a gorgeous composition Anita. Perfect color and very sharp. You are indeed getting better and better. Some think my monitor is not accurate and that may well be true. I'm seeing again highlights that are losing detail due to over-exposure. I'm guessing it was shot in the afternoon when the sun was high. Even with haze and an overcast sky the highlights can be blown out by the brightness without compensation. It could easily be adjusted in PS if that's the case. If it's fine and it's just my monitor, well then, you all got a lesson in daylight photography! LOL anne :-)
Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)
Indeed, composition is more than excellent. I LOVE it. Maybe it's my monitor, but it does seem a little bright. I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to try playing around with the brightness and contrast on my desktop.
Thanks to all who comment on pictures in my gallery. Please accept my apologies if I am unable to thank you each time, and please don't feel obligated to thank me for my comments.
wonderful photograph Anita! I love the way you shot it with the river going off into the distance - it really adds perspective to the photograph. Beautiful natural colours too. well done! Patti

How can we be tired of looking at all this beauty you often post to us!..
another cracker of a shot from you...........Excellent and well captured..........
Anita, I will be the "bad guy" again. Everyone has pointed out the many fine things about this photo. Anne and Donna have very gently (and almost apologetically) pointed out one aspect that can be improved, which is that the mountains and the sky are somewhat "faded" -- we all know this is a common problem with landscape photos. I'm sure the higher-end applications have all sorts of functions for this, but I'll just tell you what I did with the freebies I use: I used XnView to increase the color saturation a little, and used Picasa's "graduated tint" function to selectively darken the mountains and the sky. (In general, the reason I don't have a problem with editing a photo is because a digital camera is basically a miniature computer, and its built-in software starts "editing" an image as soon as you depress the shutter. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that when you use a digital camera, there really is no such thing as an "unedited" photo to begin with.)
Never rebuke while you’re still indignant about a fault committed—wait until the next day, or even longer. Then calmly, and with a purer intention, make your reprimand. You’ll gain more by a friendly word than by a three-hour quarrel.

a great desolate place, well shot.
can you give me some details ? i would like to know how hot it is here aproximatly during summer, and what the hight is.
What a beautiful panoramic scene with so much detail. Excellent composition and wonderful clarity. I could never get tired of seeing "Colorful Colorado"!
Thanks everyone for your wonderful comments on this post. I truly appreciate the constructive criticisms received as well and have worked with the 'dullness' and 'over exposure'. Several of you were kind enough to give very nice subtle comments on how to improve the 'areas of concern' and that again is appreciated. While I did rework this post, I'm not going to repost it since the Colorado series is ending with the next post. However, hopefully I will have learned something from this one that I can use in the next one. I do appreciate all of you. Thanks, Anita
Seeds of contentment bring harvests of peace. Always glad to see visitors at My Gallery and thanks for your continued kind words and constant support. Anita
Breath taking view Anita ..It is a little bright in spots on my monitor as well ...It still does not take away from the natural beauty of this shot ..Well done girl!
Did you see that lil speck in the water? That is the "spirit me" floating down the river on an intertube right now as my corporial self is at the office. LOL Another intriguing beautiful shot! pssst.... how could anyone tire of Colorado?

Another beauty, Anita. I specifically like the colors and sharpness of the bushes in the foreground. There's a lot to look at here to keep one's interest. Your pictures of Colorado are all lovely, and bring back very pleasant memories of two trips some 50 years ago.......Neil
Anita:
You've done an excellent job in capturing this beautiful river. The way you've composed the shot makes me feel that I'm being drawn into the scenery along with the river. Hope you have more of the Colorado to post later.
