He is handsome, indeed, but it seems strange to have to go to a nature preserve to see one. I often find them in my front yard munching on my roses! =0

very nice capture, anita. the animal was caught in a great pose and angle, but it kinda looks like you metered more for the surroundings or multipoint.... if a similar shot comes along, try to adjust the metering to 'spot' and get better lighting on the deer... :o)

and bythe way, i saw the title and almost went running for the bbq sauce :P
