May I suggest that the next time you are attempting to capture an image under low light conditions that you use a tripod. It will make all of the diference in the world. If you do not have a tripod then save enough to purchase one as a tripod is an important part of your photo kit.Until then set your camera on a solid object, like the wall that surrounds the falls. Compose, focus and make your exposure by pushing gently on the shuter release. By doing this all of the buildings in the background will be sharper without the camera movement

This is so atmospheric! The subject though, is not so clear.
As a complete novice, I would say appreciation of this would be in the eye of the beholder.
