At first I thought it was a dogwood, but you are correct it is not. Sorry I can't help out with a name to the tree. A very beautiful image & I love the blue sky background. Excellent.
It certainly isn't a dogwood, but I am pretty sure it is some sort of "fruit" tree. Pear, plum, cherry, peach--who knows. There are many ornamental varieties of these that bear little or no recognizable fruit. Whatever it is, it is certainly beautiful and with that bright blue sky behind it its a knockout!
I was also thinking somekind of a flowering crab or apple tree, but not certain! Whatever it is would love to have in my yard when looking like this!! Very nice! ~Dan
Definitly an Apple blossom Dot...we have them all around here, some can be 'crab apple' or other varieties...depending on the pollination!
Lovely shot, and the smell is out of this world, when in full bloom as this is seems to be..........Bob
Please forgive me: I want to thank everyone who views and comments my images, I try but it is hard to write individual thank you at times. Please know you are appreciated!
Mmmm, unfortunately from the research I have done, this is not an appleblossom. It does have familiar looking blooms, but it's not the same. These trees are all over Reading. They never bear any fruit. Thanks!
