I know this isn't the best capture, but I thought the subject content was very interesting. This tree is full of heron nests. BTW, this is on Bath Road, Lauren. Tons of cars were parked along the road across the street to view the herons. It was a regular tourist trap! ;)

Never saw anything like that, Dot. Even have a rookery, up the lake, but they all have their own trees, in a swamp. Maybe it's a cult thing, lol. Thanks for posting it.

Good grief, what a real clan of birds! So interesting, I wonder just why they all chose that one tree to be all crowded in. LOL Maybe there is "safety in numbers" eh? In any case, I'm glad you took the shot...and it sure IS interesting....V

I'll bet you couldn't get a clear shot if you walked UNDER that tree.....:) PLOP! :)
Those little freeloaders! All along.....they have condo trees here and fly north to their summer homes....hahaha

I've been down there Dot, several years ago, but it was earlier in the spring, when the herons were just starting to nest. An amazing sight, isn't it ? And one you never forget....all those nesting birds in the trees & those huge nests....& all those people lining the street taking pictures !
