Had not planned on posting this, but saw cynlee's versions today and thought what the heck, might as well add mine to the daily mix. Taken in my back yard with a pocket camera.

Why not, indeed? It is a pretty and delicate iris and looks lovely at this angle with the profusion of green leaves as backup.

This looks like one of those miniature irises? They last such a short time but are very beautiful. An exceptionally nice shot - the flower appears to be hiding amongst the leaves.
