UF4.
I'm taking Janet Parke's UF course and we were encouraged to explore the Mandelbrot set beyond our homework assignment.
This spiral is a result of exploring the west mandelbrot "midget".
Classic you, with the very rich colors. Also has a wonderful fluid, glassy quality that is really set off with this color scheme. Excellent work & high marks. :o)

Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to the Emerald City and OZ A very nice place to repose. Trust me on this one, I live there ............The Lion...................... MY GALLERY - The Magical Mystery Tour
Demonstrates with certainty how wrong they are who think the Mandelbrot is boring, old and creatively exhausted. Lovely work.
I'm fascinated by what you find in UF because the terminology is entirely unfamiliar and the results are spectacular (i.e. I don't understand but wish I did!). UF is supposed to use the same formulae as (x)fractint, I believe, but presumably with additional enhancements. Do you know anything about this? I wondered if it had ever been mentioned. I can't use UF, but I can use xfractint. I wonder what the results from fractint would be in the hands of an expert...
