Hey Brett,
Clever title mate!
One of the things I'm having to re-learn after a twenty year break from disciplined photography is the effect of depth of field on my final image. In this image the bone and foreground is really sharp, which is excellent, I suspect, assuming you were quite close to the bone, that much more of the background "could" have been also in focus with a different use of the depth of field. Just a thought for next time. (Then I thinks to myself, maybe he wanted the background blurring out so maybe he already knew this.) In which case, just ignore me. :)
Mikel.
Heh heh, Yes Mikel thanks for the comments, the focus and depth of field was taken into consideration, since the bone was really my main subject and the ripples seemed to go on forever. Glad you enjoy it though.
Ooooo this is nice! I absolutely love sand photos..I live near the Pacific Ocean, and if you check my gallery you will find soem patterns beachgrasses make with the tips of their leaves on a windy day..on the sand..so the simplicity here in your sand ripples is wonderful. As Thoreau writes "Simplicity is Elegance" and your photo sure shows that...Verena
