That's remarkable. I had in the past the same or a rather similar type of this camera. Last night I was discussing with my son about the advantages and disadvantages of such a camera. I told him about the limitations of using a film (one had to wait a relative long time before one could see any result and the number of shots one could take with a film was very small).
It was pretty hard for him to imagine that this wasn't that long ago.
Thanks for bringing back some nostalgia, Christian.

I have one of these, and that lens on your specimen is becoming rather coveted these days. With the proper adapter, these old lenses can still take some nice photos on modern cameras.
The Canon FTb was my first SLR back in 1976. I bought it on a whim while working as an 18 year old ranch hand in eastern Idaho. I took many cool photo's with that camera, until it was stolen in a burglary 20 years later. Operation was dead simple and the build was rock solid. I'd thought they were all lost to history, or wherever old film cameras go to die, so this is a welcome, and surprising, sight.
