Hello Christian, it's good to see that you finally have succeeded in adding a link to your narrative. I'm glad that I could be helpful to you. Think that being helpful to other ones is an advantage of the Caedes-site. In the past I got many good advices from my Caedes-friends as well. They were very helpful to raise up my photographic skills to the present level.
May I give you another advice: in such weather conditions (like Raj says above: facing a bright sky against a rather dark foreground) it's wise (if you have one) to use your flash gear for a, so called, 'fill-in flash'. You can only do this when the distance to the subject isn't too far. The result will be that a dark foreground will be more brighter, so enhancing the contrast balance in your image.

Once I visited Cyprus and there at some little resort nearby Paphos I saw a citadel of similar appearance. Will check that and try to see what I could do with my paper photograph ... Whatever, this is a neat image. Our C's advice sounds good as I tried it once or twice accidentally - meaning that my camera automatically flashed on a sunny day against the blazing sun while I was in complete dark shadow :) Thanks for the link - fascinating too.
